Freight, Customs, and Warehousing — Documented

Specific answers on transit commitments, compliance requirements, and itemised fees. No vague estimates.

/ Shipping & Transit Times

How long does international freight take?

Can I track my shipment in real time?

Transit times are published per trade lane before booking. Europe–Asia FCL: 22–28 days. UK–North America: 12–16 days. We commit to the range we quote; no open-ended estimates.

Every container receives a tracking reference at handoff. Status updates are available at each port gate, customs hold, and warehouse receipt — documented, not estimated.

Do you handle express or time-critical cargo?

What happens if a shipment is delayed?

We notify you at the first confirmed delay event — port congestion, weather hold, or customs query — with a revised estimated arrival. Your account contact is reachable during documented business hours.

Air freight and priority road haulage are available for time-critical shipments. Schedules and cut-off times are confirmed in writing before cargo is accepted.

/ Customs & Compliance

Who handles customs documentation?

Do you work with restricted or regulated goods?

STAFFS LOGISTICS prepares and submits all customs declarations as part of every international shipment. Import entries, export licences, and commodity codes are handled by our compliance team.

Regulated cargo categories — including chemicals, food products, and electronics — are handled under the applicable HMRC and trade authority requirements. Confirm your commodity code at enquiry stage.

Are you a licensed customs broker?

What documents do I need to provide?

STAFFS LOGISTICS operates as a licensed freight forwarder registered in England and Wales. Customs brokerage is carried out under applicable HMRC authorisation for each destination market.

Standard requirements: commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading or airway bill. Origin certificates and permits are identified at booking — you receive a checklist before cargo is collected.

/ Warehousing & Fees

Are there hidden charges at delivery?

What are your warehouse standards?

No. Warehousing, cargo handling, and delivery fees are itemised in the quote before cargo is accepted. Any port surcharge or duty levy is communicated as soon as it is confirmed — not invoiced after the fact.

Our storage facilities are climate-controlled, licensed, and subject to periodic audit. Certificates are available on request. Pallet positions and bay allocations are tracked by SKU and cargo reference.

How is storage priced?

Can you handle cargo from collection to final delivery?

Storage is charged per pallet position per week, confirmed in writing at booking. Short-term and long-term rates are available; volume discounts apply for consignments over 20 pallets.

Full-chain handling — from origin collection through port, warehouse, customs, and last-mile delivery — is available as a single contracted service with one point of contact throughout.
